The Lamèque International Baroque Music Festival is an exceptional artistic event, unique in Canada, because it confines its musical programming to works of the Baroque Period (1600-1750). Concerts are held in the colourful Ste-Cécile Church in the Parish of Petite-Rivière-de-l'île, a tourist attraction by itself. Festival Baroque offer concerts, brunch, conference and even boat tours.

This festival which is to honour the pioneers of the peat moss industry in the region. Some activities include: dance, softball tournament, peat moss tours, comedy show and a bazaar.
