Aquarium and Marine Centre

The Shippagan Aquarium and Marine Center is Atlantic Canada's largest public aquarium. The bounty of the sea is feted for nine days in July and you are invited to help Shippagan do it right! There are activities for everyone: the Blessing of the Fleet, deep-sea fishing excursions, dancing, sporting events, theatre, live entertainment and more

*From December 1st to 30th*With a winter season this incredible, a celebration is in order! And have we got the celebrations for you. Head to Shippagan for the absolutely magical Festival de lumières de Noël each December. The only festival of its kind in Canada, more than 10,000 people travel from all over the world to the Acadian Peninsula to see the myriad sparkling Christmas lights, concerts and the amazing Santa Claus Village of miniature houses.



Winter Carnival from Pokemouche to Miscou

The Route 11 municipalities are getting together to organize a host of outdoor and other activities for everyone. Paraskiing, kite flying, snow sculpture contest (by teams and residential), ATV rally, observation rally, costume ball, smelt fishing (on the ice), horse-drawn sleigh rides, igloo building, and many other activities.
