Glenda Cullenane – Nova Scotia & Prince Edward Island

Just dropping a note to say Thank You for helping us to organize our Nova Scotia tour back in September. We, along with Anne & Jim had a fantastic time and loved every minute of the tour. Met some lovely people and couldn't speak more highly of the Caravan group. We were very impressed with the level of accommodation and meals provided etc. Tour guide Diane and driver John just so helpful and pleasant, we would gladly recommend Caravan to others. There were in fact a few people on the tour who were doing their 3rd and 4th trips with C/V which I think speaks volumes for the company.

Again thank you for your assistance and we will certainly be in touch if we get the chance to travel to your neck of the woods again.

Wishing you and yours a very Joyful Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.

Brian Woitt – Nova Scotia

Everything was great, we had a good time; the room at Parrsboro was fantastic, I would recommend it to anyone. Thank you very much

Suzanne and Ernesto Cabrera – Nova Scotia & PEI

Well we are home after our 11 days in Nova Scotia. We had a wonderful time despite the weather which was not so terribly bad after all. The country is beautiful, the people so very nice, we loved the music. The food did not live up to what we had expected and Canada surely has a high sales tax. Had no trouble with accommodations but that is because the season is just about over up there. All your suggestions were very helpful......we saw or did some of them, others never got to. Finished our trip in Parrsboro and never got to Wolfville. We actually saw everything else that you suggested and had a good time. Thanks for your help. Come see us sometime here on South Padre Island.

Mary Ladd – Nova Scotia & PEI

We have been back from our trip for 2 weeks and want to tell you how well everything went. The driving plan you laid out and the distances between hotels was exactly right.

We loved Nova Scotia, it's beautiful. Carelton, Quebec is a delightful little town where we met some nice and very interesting people...all geneologists !

I'm glad we had two days in Annapolis Royal, it's where my Acadian family began. Another time we would choose to stay at a B&B in Port Royal instead of the Digby Pines Resort. We like Digby and had some good food there, and the resort was beautiful. But, as we have learned with older Fairmont hotels, while the public rooms are large and grand, the hotel rooms are very small, with tiny bathrooms. Still, a very nice place.

The Blomiden Inn in Wolfville was wonderful! The Cambridge Suites in Halifax was perfectly located for us, and the suite was spacious and nice.

The whole trip was very relaxing, beautiful, fun, and educational. We enjoyed ourselves very much and thank you for putting it together for us. The drive across New Brunswick to Carelton put us deep in Acadian country, which I didn't know beforehand.

Thank you for helping us get around in a place we'd never been.

Thank you. We're very satisfied with the work you've done for us, we appreciate it.

Barbara McCracken & Family – Focus Quebec

We loved it. Everything went well and the people of Quebec are very friendly. My only negative comment would be that it was a little inconvenient to be in 2 rooms. In Quebec City our rooms adjoined and we were able to leave the door open. That worked perfectly. But in the other two places, that was not possible. Otherwise, it was lovely. I had no problems with the vouchers. Thanks for everything!

Milli Wilcoxson – Nova Scotia and PEI Self Drive

Hi, we had a wonderful trip, the self-driving tour gave us flexibilty to do what we wanted and still see the highlights. I was going to write and thank you for your help.

Gillian Holland – Atlantic Maritimes Tour

I felt I must just let you know how much I had enjoyed my recent trip to New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and the Cabot trail etc .It was well organised and the tour guide Jonathan Riley, and the driver Don Spence were both excellent. So polite and helpful.

Thank you once again for all your assistance. I will be saving to make another trip as soon as possible.

Jeanette Nicholls - Nova Scotia & P.E.I

The Tour was fabulous, and the Hotels were especially very nice. the young Tour Guide Heidi was especially very hard working and put a lot of effort into the Tour prepeparation. She always had a smile and nothing seemed to phase her. We would not hesitate to use Caravan again. Everything went very smoothly.

Linda Ekizian – Nova Scotia and PEI

The trip was wonderful! the tour guide Olive was a natural: friendly, enthusiastic and informed. We learned quite a bit about the history and landscape of the region and its people, as well as its present. Bus driver Gordon brought us safely to our many destinations with good humor. There was a perfect balance between free time and tour time. The local experts were terrific - engaging and educated.

The accommodations were comfortable and centrally-located. The stops along the way were interesting (if not simply to stretch our legs at a rest stop). The group size was ideal with a good mix of people from throughout the U.S. and parts of Canada + one couple from Australia.

Iris Berke – Atlantic Maritimes

Thanks, Nicole. The Maritimes trip was really excellent. Enjoyed the itinerary, guide and driver were terrific, and other participants were an easy-going, interesting, and cohesive group. Thanks so much for getting me booked on this tour. Particularly as a last-minute option, it exceeded my expectations - especially when I saw "Grey Line."

Ann Ward – Vacation Planning Service – Nova Scotia and PEI

My Dad and I had a great time last week. All of the accommodations were great, and the car was very comfortable. I’m glad we kept the full size car (we had a Chrysler Seabring). Dinner at the Blomidon Inn in Wolfville was the best meal we had. It was delicious. The best breakfast was at the Oak Island Resort, where I had eggs benedict. We went whale watching with Captain Mark as you recommended, and we were not disappointed! My Dad loved seeing the whales the best of everything we did. The Alexander Graham Bell museum in Baddeck was interesting, and the Cabot Trail was inspiring.

We went to Gespeau winery, and had a fun tour and tasting. We also stopped and explored Ross Farm. We enjoyed the drive down to Peggy’s Cove, but Daddy couldn’t really get out and walk around. We went to a piping at the Celtic College in Summerside, PEI, and that was great.

All in all, it was a great trip. I didn’t get lost but a few times, and I knew almost immediately that I had messed up. I thought I did pretty good driving and navigating.

The people of Nova Scotia were very friendly and helpful. I hope to return some day and enjoy the wealth of outdoor activities. I think Cape Breton was my favorite part of the trip.

Thanks for all your help and hard work. It was a great vacation.

Angela Gagnon – Vacation Planning Service – Nova Scotia and PEI

Had a wonderful week, the weather was awesome. I've fallen in love with PEI. The colors there are out of this world. When someone says the grass is not always greener on the other side... Well it is. The contrast of the green grass and the red soil is indescribable. The only place I was not impressed with was Halifax. I wouldn't go again. To commercial, it's just another city. The hotel room "Delta" was over priced for what they offered. No continental breakfast and the room was not ready until 2 hours after the check in time. No apologizes given either. However the beds were comfy and we had a good view of the bay.

You did a great job on the travel time and destinations! Could have used 2 weeks to accomplish everything. Loved the old villages.

Neil Cannon – Vacation Planning – Nova Scotia, PEI and New Brunswick

Everything was great. The only exception was the Driftwood Inn which didn’t fit our needs. Too remote. It might have been better in mid season when it was busy as the unit itself wasn’t bad. The good news is that we moved on, found the “Maple Inn” (lovely) in Parrsboro for the same price and got the manager of the Driftwood Inn to not charge us.

Thanks for all your help!

Marianne Feissli – Newfoundland

Yes, everything went well (except the fire alarm in the hotel in St. John's - fire in an engine in the service elevator - and the unexpected landing in Gander - a passenger had health problems - on our flight back) I enjoyed sunshine, fog, rain ... everything. the landscapes in Newfoundland and Labrador are beautiful, I was impressed by the icebergs and many other things (whales, puffins, flowers....).

Unfortunately the holiday is over, Thank you for your help and your emails.

Marcia Watson - Vacation Planning – Nova Scotia and PEI

Let's see, if this is Tuesday, I must be home! We did arrive home safe and sound yesterday after a wonderful trip - thank you so much for all of your help and knowledge sharing. Everything went extremely well until I lost my camera on Sunday - discovered as we were almost to Peggy's Cove. To make a long story short, when we got back to the Cambridge Suites, the front desk young man came running up and said is this your camera? I had left it in the restroom off the lobby when we ducked in after visiting the Maritime Museum on our way to Peggy's. He had looked at the pictures and recognized me when he saw me! They saved the day for me! I will be sending them something from Wisconsin as a thank you.

The weather did not cooperate, but that did not deter us at all. We indeed made it to Springhill on the 25th, and met Anne Murray! She was so gracious to everyone and stood for about 1.5 hours posing for pix and signing autographs. She is such a Canadian Jewel!

We enjoyed all of the sleeping accommodations but the B&B at Baddeck was our least favorite. There just was never anyone around to ask questions of, get the local color, etc. I guess the owners are involved more with the restaurant. Anyway, when we left, I could not rouse anyone in the B&B so we left the keys, but I would have liked to get a receipt. I'd say the Sonata was our favorite - Michael was extremely accommodating and obviously loves what he is doing.

Thank you, again, Nicole for all of your friendly assistance. We will certainly keep you in mind for any future trips.

Greta Brooks - Vacation Planning – Nova Scotia & Prince Edward Island

Nicole, the Maple Inn is fantastic! I'll send a trip report when we're home, but this place is wonderful. Steve could stay a week. Mom's room is luxurious and the boys have a room in our suite that has two double beds. And the owners are great too. Thanks for finding this gem!

Marcia and Eric Birken – Vacation Planning – Nova Scotia & New Brunswick

We LOVED our trip. Everything was great. We really enjoyed the New Horton Lakeview Inn in Alma, NB. It was a little out of the way, but so charming that this made up for the extra driving. The Inverary Resort was also lovely - they put us initially in a room with only one queen bed, so they upgraded us to a suite at no extra charge.

The Bay of Fundy was fantastic, Cape Breton Peninsula, Cabot Trail, and park were amazing, and we saw moose (lots of pix) and bear (too fast for me to get a picture). One of the highlights (totally unexpected) of the trip was the Miners' Museum - absolutely wonderful and overwhelming experience going down into the mines. The only hotel we didn't care for was the Brigantine Inn and Suites in Lunenberg. It was "seedy 1950's." Halifax was so crazy with the Jazz Festival, the tall ships, and pouring rain, that we ended up doing very little there - couldn't find a place to park anywhere!

Our weather was great - only one day of rain until the last day of the trip. We did a whale watch in St. Andrews by the Sea and Donelda's Puffin Tour in Cape Breton. Both were good - not great, but much better than I expected. Didn't get any great puffin pix - they are way, way too small and fast - but did get some great eagle shots.

Thanks for everything - the itinerary was well balanced, interesting, and very, very enjoyable. And we are happy to recommend you to future clients.

Shahnaz Vakil – Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island

Everything went well. The tour was great. The tour operator Blair and the bus driver George were very good-hospitable, polite, humorous and extremely helpful. Had a marvellous time. Thanks again.

Our trip to Canada was wonderful. My husband and I had a great time. All the arrangements were perfect. Canada is a beautiful country and I am very happy to have had this opportunity to visit this ruggedly beautiful part of your country. Thank you and Caravan for everything.

Alan Li - Quebec City, Rail, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island

We have been experiencing a relaxed and enjoyable trip. We decided not to stress ourselves by pushing us through an early journey back to Halifax to catch the Peggy Cove tour.

Teresa and I enjoyed thoroughly the captioned tour organized by A-Z Tours International and Cartan Tours. The arrangement of the itinerary, the accommodations, the city tours and the rental car was all good and satisfactory. We also found good seafood restaurants at the designated cities and towns and along the sightseeing routes.

We appreciate your help before and during our trip to deal with the unexpected incidents. We would like to thank Stacey for her special efforts in rearranging the Peggy's Cove tour .We crossed over to PEI via the Caribou Ferry. On the return trip from Charlottetown to Halifax, we left the hotel at 9:00 a.m., crossed the Confederation Bridge to get to New Brunswick and visited Moncton and then Peggy's Cove before arriving Halifax in the evening. That was an interesting drive as well.

Once again, we must thank you for your efforts and we would very much like to recommend this tour to our friends. As for Mr. & Mrs. Poon, they may consider the similar package in the future when Mrs. Poon recovers.

Laurie and Miyo – Newfoundland

I had a great time - loved Nfld. and Labrador, and the spots in Halifax we managed to get to on our own, and took nearly 900 photos. (will do a lot of deleting!)

The tour guide, Annette, was really wonderful, the bus driver was very friendly and helpful, and the accommodations were just fine. We were sorry to have to leave the group early.

Thanks for all your help.

Steve Robinson – Atlantic Canada

The trip was fine it seemed we were the only 2 Aussies on it so all the Americans were onto us….

The tour is excellent value for money but my only comments would be that the leg room was too short for anyone over 6 foot and two of the Motels were a bit low on the standard namely The North Winds and Ceilidh Country lodge…..

Once again thanks for tying everything in for us.

Kem & Wayne Brewer – Atlantic Canada

We’ve arrived home tired but very rested. The pace in the Maritimes is such that we had no choice but to slow down! All the arrangements were top notch except St John, where, I know, you tried to put us in a hotel – which would have been a better idea. The Vintage was just not up to the level of the other ones.

Julies Walk was very nice – but expensive eh? Over $200 per night with all the taxes. We did the Maritime Museum, the Harbour Hopper and Murphy’s on the Water.

It poured when we went to Peggy’s Cove but two days later went via Lunenburg to Parrsboro and loved it. The Bluenose was docked at Lunenburg and we sat outside for lunch overlooking the water on a very hot day, even ran into people from Lethbridge!

Parrsboro was the secret gem. An Inn does make the difference. The Maple Inn hosts were so hospitable, home made pie and coffee always available. We had a place to play cards (drink wine) and visit. The one restaurant overlooked the Bay of Fundy where we watched the incredible tide levels go out. There was just one pub too, and everyone was very friendly. Lots of hiking, Partridge Island lookoff was beautiful. The Ships Company Theatre was closed for the season, though, as well as the golf course while we were there. Cape D’or restaurant at the lighthouse was fabulous despite the long walk down from the parking lot over rocks. They did drive us back up the hill!

Enough said about the Vintage in St John. If we were to go again we would have stayed in Moncton or Fredericton. We stopped at the Hopewell Rocks on our way to St John. We did get to the Jazz and Blues Festival on a chilly day in Fredericton, Great city, clean with lots of character. On our way to the bridge to PEI we did the Magnetic Hill – too cool.

Heritage Harbor House was so perfect in Charlottetown; again, it was an Inn. Excellent food and service. The laundry service was very much appreciated and at only $1. a load, a deal in itself! We walked everywhere downtown and they too had a place for us to play cards and drink our wine. Wayne and I had a fabulous day golfing at St Andrews (I beat him on the back 9) while our sister and husband went to St Stephen (hospital for hip x-rays – darn arthritis. A cane and Celebrex were her friends for the remainder of the trip.

Wayne did get to golf at the Links at Crowbush despite the tail-end of Hurricane Ike. A highlight of PEI was going to Summerside and watching the Tall Ships come in from their race around PEI. We toured the ships and talked to the crews. Later we stopped into Anne of Green Gables village and walked Cavendish beach. The musical Anne – was really great, we laughed and cried.

Baddeck was so perfect! Denise at the Bell View was terrific! What value too. We only toured one side of the Cabot Trail but so worth it! We stopped at the glass and wood maker shops. Had fish and chips overlooking the water and Wayne got a golf cap at the Highland Links – just not enough time to do it all. We thoroughly enjoyed our sail with Amoeba Sailing Charter. The boys went to Louisburg for the day while Linda and I shopped and stopped at a harbour rest where lunched, again drank wine, and read our books. Denise picked us up when we were ready – can you believe that? Our lobster dinner was great with Celtic music to boot. They do have a Ceilgh every night and we regret not getting to at least one of them. Everyone said they were so much fun.

We spend our last night in Halifax at the Lakeview Inn near the Airport. They have a great pub/restaurant and a lovely dining room. We are now experts on Seafood Chowder and Lobster!

I’m attaching a picture from the best at Murphys on the Water. I’m the one in black. Thanks again for everything! I’ll certainly recommend you to anyone!

Our trip went very well, we had a great time. Collette tours are very well organised, our tour guide knew the history and the facts about the areas very well. He had very high people skills. We would certainly consider another Collette tour in the future. Thanks for your help in organising our trip.

Lorna & Eric Gregson – Atlantic Canada

We had a great trip. It started a little rough - luggage didn't arrive, picked up the rental car in the dark, in a pouring rainstorm from an agent with a flashlight that didn't work, who wanted us to inspect the car and note any damage (we couldn't see due to the lack of adequate light and told her to note that). However, after the end of the second day when the luggage arrived and the weather improved so did our holiday. We soon realized there was way too much to see and way too short a time to see it in. We appreciated the suggestions that you had given us and the very specific directions. We saw tons, admired the beautiful scenery, learned lots at the numerous historic sites and museums we visited and gained a real sense of the history of our country that started in the Maritimes. Thanks for helping us plan the trip and arranging the accommodations.

All of the accommodations were fine except for the Comfort Inn in Saint John - after the first night we decided not to stay there for a second night and instead chose a B&B near the Hopewell Rocks. The B&B in Parsboro was very nice - the room impressed us, however, the best accommodation and breakfast was the place in Charlottetown. It was very clean, comfortable, quiet, good location, and fantastic breakfast. PEI was our favourite and were glad we had took an extra day there - it helped that the weather was absolutely fantastic while we were there. We enjoyed Baddeck as the central base while on Cape Breton and were very impressed with what we were able to see (rainy days the whole time we were there) while driving the Cabot Trail. The accommodation in Baddeck was fine, however it was very rustic. We stopped in Truro the first time we were going through it to see the tidal bore so we decided not to spend a night there later in the trip. We actually spent two nights in Lunenburg instead and thoroughly enjoyed that.

Thanks again for your help. We will definitely be visiting the Maritimes again! Take care.

Ken Tamsitt – Ontario & French Canada

We had a pretty good time thank you. We had a car for a week before meeting up with Cosmos and spent some time at Niagara on the Lake and 2 nights at Niagara Falls. This was because we felt (and we were right) that the coach didn`t either go there or spend enough time there.

We meet up with the "tour" on schedule, and everything went fine from then. The weather could have been better on our 1000 islands cruise when it rained most of the afternoon after Kingston.

Nice hotel the Maritime Plaza (the best on the tour).

Everything was great, all the hotels were nice but I wanted to let you know that Belgravia Bed & Breakfast is a great place to stay, we were sorry we were only there a few hours, got in late in the evening and took off first thing in the morning. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay centrally. Thank you very much for all your help.

Barbara Deleebeeck – Great Canadian Atlantic Experience

We had a wonderful time on our tour of Atlantic Canada and Ambassatours did an amazing job of choosing interesting stops and hotels. My only suggestion would be to have the option of flying from St. John's to Halifax instead of taking the overnight ferry. The ferry and 4-hour drive to Halifax made for a very long day. We were lucky that the ocean was calm for our 14 hour journey. It would have been terrible if the seas were rough.

Jean Paspa – USA to Atlantic Canada – Vacation Planning

Thank you for all your work and help. We had a great time. The rooms at the Green Highlander worked out great. We ended up renting the third room as well so we had the place to ourselves. (The boys didn’t fit in the twin beds very well.) Having the restaurant downstairs worked out great with the boys. The Hilton was wonderful. I’m glad we changed it. In some ways it was one of the nicest places we stayed, so it was a great last stop. Again thanks for all your help.

It was a relief having someone to call when we needed it. We didn’t get to see and do everything on our list so we may have to come back. If we do you will be the first call I make. Thanks again.

Joyce Esrailian – Sale of Two Cities – Montreal & Quebec

We had a wonderful time! Air Canada was great. Our baggage missed the flight, but when we landed in Quebec, they found it and had it at the chateau that night! All the vouchers went off like clockwork. We are so glad that we were able to stay at the Fairmont Chateau Frontenac—that was so worth the trip! Reversing the itinerary worked very well for us too.

We want to thank you for your very professional, yet caring arrangements for our trip. I know a lot of people worked together on it, and you are to be commended for a job really well done. Thank you for your help especially and for always responding so quickly to my questions and making me double check things so that the trip went smoothly. Please forward this email to the appropriate people. We hope to deal with you again soon.

Thank you for your attention. We really had a wonderful time in Canadian Rockies. The tour was in general good organized in spite of the rain in the last day in Banff. Maybe it would be better if it included more hiking for younger people. Anyway the nature here is very beautiful and we enjoyed a lot. We also made some friends from different parts, mostly from US and UK.

Just back from our Canada trip and it was fantastic. Thanks for recommending Collette to us. We did miss quite a few excursions because of the fact that there was too much snow to take certain roads - Lake Maligne for example and all excursions in Jasper were cancelled, but we still had a fantastic time. Thanks again for your help and advice.

Robert & Madeline Suann – Western Australia to NS, PEI and NB – Vacation Planning

Everything went off without a hitch. We have some 800 photos of the wonderful Fall, that I must now try and sort to something we can play and replay in the years to come. The Fall highlight was, we think, walking down Lovers Lane at the Green Gables Cavendish

The weather was kind all through our time in Canada, really too kind, for we only had about four days of rain and put on long Johns no more than five times all told.

We were very happy about the overall trip. We were very happy with all our accommodations and even fitted in a Taxi ride from Moncton to experience the magic of rolling up Magnetic Hill. We could go on and on? Yes ! We would say, we would do it again, and also recommend you and your excellent service to all our friends and associates. Thank you once again.

Our very best wishes to yourself and your firm, we are not sure where our next trip will be, but will keep an eye on A/Z Travel opportunities.

Uriel Avron – Israel to the Canadian Rockies

We are home now after five weeks and boy, what five weeks we have had :-) First we had the tour to the Rockies. It was breathtaking... well, I don't have to describe to you the beauty of the land, you are more than likely fully aware of it.

The organization of this tour was perfect and our guide, Serena did a very good job. She was very informative, did her best to explain the different things we have seen and in general kept very well to the timetable. It was a difficult job with so many people on board, so she definitely deserves a lot of applause at the way she has handled the job. All in all the 13 day Rockies tour is a good introduction to this wonderful place and it definitely leaves a taste of "more" after it is finished... :-)

After the Rockies we continued to Saskatchewan, to the "Rut is on" eco lodge adventure. I had only a very faint idea about what to expect, based on a previous eco lodge adventure in the Amazon Basin in Ecuador and initially treated this whole trip as a fill-in to kill some time before flying to Churchill to see the Polar Bears. Well, in short it was a HUGE success!

First the organization of the flight and the hotel in Saskatoon (The Saskatoon inn) was perfect. Special thanks to you for that :-) On the next day of our arrival Maureen arrived to take us to their home where we have spent a day, to get used to the area, learn how to walk on the hunting trails and to generally familiarize ourselves with the environment. After a fun day at the home of Dave and Maureen that included some dog sledging, playing with the animals on the farm and rearranging our gear, Dave has taken us to Sawyer Lake where the real fun took place.

Every day we would wake up very early in the morning and walk some 10-15 km to see the wildlife his estate offers. And we did indeed see a lot of it!

Some of the big game like moose, elk, deer (a lot), smaller animals like hare, coyote, beaver and also some rare ones that are rather elusive, like otter and even wolf! I can't even count the number and types of the birds we have encountered. In the afternoon we would go canoeing, ATV driving, or just walking to a different part of the estate, there was always something to see...

Add to that the friendly hospitality of Dave, Guy and Maureen, the best home cooked food made by Sharon and you really have a winning adventure :-)

Actually I was a little worried that after such a great experience the polar Bears of Churchill would be real hard pressed to top our Saskatchewan trip... ;-) The Sawyer Lake adventure has some limitations though. First, it requires some physical fitness. It is not very difficult, but walking 10-15 km daily is not a simple task especially for those with some physical handicaps.

The other "problem" is that the hunting cabin in Sawyer Lake is not a 4 star hotel. It is very convenient and very well taken care of with big nice rooms, but the water for bathing is collected rain water and the toilet is of the composting type.... It might be problematic for people who are looking for the Ritz in the middle of the prairie...

These shortcomings are of course fully offset by the wildlife, the Aurora Borealis we have seen, the canoeing in the silent lake, the dog sledge and all the fun the site has to offer. All in all it was a smash hit and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who is interested in seeing REAL wildlife in its real environment and those who want to learn how the people of the prairie live their lives.

After returning to Saskatoon (Maureen took us herself back) we have flown to Winnipeg and after four days we have continued to Churchill to see the polar bears.

I would heartily recommend it. The actual tour was carried out by Natural Habitat and they did a wonderful job. The organization of the tour, the guides, the hotels, everything was just superb. And the polar bears did their part to make the visit to Churchill an unforgettable one...

Well, that's about it, I hope I haven't bored you too much with my long-long letter. It is also the time to thank you for the excellent professional (and patient!) treatment I got from you throughout the planning and the execution of the trip, and the enormous help you have been.

Thank you very much and I will definitely recommend you and your company to anyone who asks me. With your permission, I'll send you an invitation to visit my on-line albums of the pictures from Canada when I upload them. You are welcome to use my letter for advancing your company's sales as you find fit. You are also allowed in advance to use any of my pictures from the public domain for the same end. Thanks again and all the best (http://community.webshots.com/album/562021583CjvsHF)

Mel & Lynda McKieve – Salt Spring Island, BC to Nova Scotia & PEI

We left NS on the 24th by train as arranged and enjoyed the train ride to London, Ontario. Arrived home last night and feel exhausted but, very satisfied with our Maritime holiday. We realize now we tried to do too much driving and, towards the end really pared the distances down. However, we enjoyed all we did see and particularly loved Cape Breton Island, Baddeck, Wolfville, Peggy's Cove and the Swissair 111 memorial and Lunenburg. Would not have wanted to miss Annapolis Royal, Parrsboro and many other places. Sorry we did not see Drums In Halifax. Loved PEI and saw Anne of Green Gables --- The Musical. Best mussels I ever tasted at Flex Mussels.

The car was upgraded to a larger van and, although the gas was more expensive, the comfort factor was appreciated.

Our accommodation was generally very good. Loved the Elephants Nest and recommend it highly. Liscomb lodge was perfect in spite of the bad weather. Would have loved to have stayed in Baddeck a night as well at the Celtic Lodge. Loved the Blomidon Inn --- the food was great there also. Also really enjoyed the Heritage Inn in PEI. The Brigantine Inn in Lunenburg was perfect. Loved the harbour and all the excitement. We had lunch at the golf course across the bay which enabled us to see Lunenburg in all its glory.

We have appreciated your efforts on our behalf and would give your name and number to friends. Much gratitude.

Khoi Dinh – Iowa, USA to Ontario & French Canada

I had a wonderful trip to Ontario and French Canada. All the tour guides did a great job. The tourist attractions that were included in the tour were so beautiful. I was very impressed with French Canada.

I ended up staying in single rooms the whole trip, which was GREAT! I hope I'll find another good deal in the future. I want to explore Europe and Western Canada.

Sandra Etter – Texas, USA to Nova Scotia

We are in our last two days and things have gone fine. The hotel in Halifax if beautiful. Thank you. We took a Greyline tour this morning. It was excellent. Recommend to your clients to eat at the Triangle Irish Pub. It is excellent. I could stay in Halifax a week and just eat if all the places were that good. We ate at Keith's Brewery last night and enjoyed that too.

Thanks for everything. I would have loved to have stayed at the B & B's, but it wasn't my decision. We find the people of Canada very friendly. I would stop to ask directions and end up with a long conversation about where I was from, etc.

Joseph Zozom – Arizona, USA to Quebec & Rail to The Maritimes

The trip was successful and we enjoyed the Maritimes. Train ride was okay. Bus tour was great. We had a very nice vacation.

Bonney Elliott – Ottawa, Ontario to Cape Breton

Things went well - the tour guide and driver were wonderful. Cape Breton is beautiful.

Nancy Perry – Indiana, USA to Nova Scotia

We had a great time; NS is better than expected and we are not going to tell anyone how beautiful it is because we don't want to share it with anyone! We had a terrific experience with the Zodiac whale watching out of Tiverton, a 45-foot whale spent 15-20 minutes right by our boat--underneath, bumping us, playing with us. I will attach pictures so that you will believe me--the young captain actually touched him and couldn't believe his luck.

Robert & Marjorie Ingall – Leicestershire, England to Newfoundland & Nova Scotia

All went well. Our advice is when dealing with Newfies is take nothing for granted. We had a cabin on the ferry but when we awoke next morning we were in a thick Newfoundland fog so the open deck was uninhabitable for sightseeing for almost the whole trip. Departing the ferry was "fun" we were sent down a lift & then found the exit door where we were faced with umpteen flights of steep steel steps so we both said No Way. A young female ship's personnel stepped forward & took my case & carried it all the way down to the bottom which left me speechless, that situation is not in my etiquette experience!!!!

The car pickup worked, as soon as we walked in the door of the ferry terminal. The Silver Dart Lodge evening meal & Buffet breakfast excellent. Laurie's Motor Inn Cheticamp via pleasant Bay where we thoroughly enjoyed the Whale watching followed by a lobster lunch.

Then my favourite stop-over Glenora Inn & Distillery Resort with light airy comfortable rooms with excellent Bar/Dining Room. Pity the whisky cost $100CAD for a 75cl bottle too expensive but I enjoyed a couple of drams before dinner.

Then at long last at the Balmoral Motel & Mill dining room Tatamagouche a proper single story accommodation. Nice recently refurbished rooms but no restaurant. Finally the Palliser Restaurant, Motel & Gifts, the food both evening & buffet breakfast excellent.

How do we rate the holiday it was a great experience which we enjoyed & we wish to thank you for all your efforts towards making it so. We are flattered to think that you still think of us hence the enclosed photo of us on the banks of the river by the Palliser , Truro.

Yes we found several Tim Hortons on the water front at St-John's, North Sidney, Chetticamp, Canso Causeway & Junct.11 on H/way 102 between Truro & the airport. Marjorie had her fair share of cinnamom whirls!!

Where did we have our best meal? It was at a small unpretencious cafe near Neils Harbour north of Ingonish Marj had haddock & I had Liver & onions we both cleaned up to every last scrap , the mashed potatoes were so light & fluffy, perfect for soaking up the liver gravy & the veg had been cooked to perfection.

Louis Weagle, Jessie & Dylan Savoury – Bridgewater, NS to Toronto, ON

Hey we had an awesome time, that food on the plane was good and it was a smooth relaxing ride, they had some good movies and whenever you would need something the flight attendants would be right there with it. We had some turbulence but it was cool and we liked taking off. When we were in Ontario I saw Niagara Falls and went to Canada's Wonderland. Man it was some hot up there but it was very fun. My dad even went on the biggest roller coaster there he liked it too - Dylan

Karen Kunin – Coat St. Luc, QC to Nova Scotia & PEI

Had a very good trip - can't believe it went by so quickly. Everyone was nice and friendly and I met some new people. Our guide -Heidi Connally - was excellent - as was our bus driver - Cyrill. The bus broke down on Tues afternoon - a broken hose - but Heidi and Cyrill did everything they could to make us comfortable during our one and a half hour wait for a new bus. They handed out water and after we arrived at Ritas Tea House, they served us free freshly baked cinnamon rolls, tea, and coffee.

All in all I had a wonderful time and I saw so many different places. Thanks.

Bruce and Linda Arnold – California, USA to Atlantic Coast

We had a wonderful trip. The tour director, David Rose, was excellent. The weather was varied, but even the rain in Nova Scotia and the heat in New Brunswick didn't adversely affect our experience. Thank you for helping us reserve this vacation.

Karen Lingel – California, USA to Newfoundland, Nova Scotia & PEI

Thanks, Nicole, my trip went well and I had a marvelous time! I did a lot of stuff and appreciated all your suggestions for restaurants and things to do. Icebergs are super cool! There were no problems with reservations for anything. The Tattoo was a lot of fun, I'm glad you mentioned it to me.

I liked very much the Harbour Heritage House in Charlottetown, and the King George Inn in Annapolis Royal. The Harbour Heritage House actually got a review in the San Francisco Chronicle the Sunday after I got back!

Lynn Robertson – Alabama, USA to Broad Cove Vacation Suites

Charles Pavlov – Pennsylvania, USA to Quebec, Canada

The trip was wonderful. Both Montreal and Quebec are incredible cities to visit and eat!!! (and boy did we eat!) The hotels were both first class, the train ride went smooth, and I would not hesitate to recommend this trip to anybody! Thanks for checking I am definitely a major fan of Canada!

Louise Jullion – Victoria, BC to Nova Scotia & PEI

Our trip was great. It involved a lot more driving than we had expected, leaving us with little time to enjoy all there was to do in each destination. The Inns an B&B's were great. It was enough of a taste to want to go back.

Frank McNamara – Canada Atlantic Coast

The bus tour was enjoyable but tiring for my wife. The tour Director and bus driver were excellent and very helpful. They both had an intimate knowledge of the area and the director was humorous as well. In general, we enjoyed the tour and would do more of them if my wife were in better health. Thank you.

Leslie Noble – Canada Atlantic Coast

The trip was just fantastic! Thank you so much for all of your help, guidance and organizing to make this trip so successful. We now want to see Newfoundland and Labrador (maybe next year).

I would definitely do this trip again and recommend it to anyone. Ambassatours were excellent, very high class and well organized for such a tour and the number of people. Some days were a little long, but the intensity of all the history and information we got daily probably added to being exhausted from time to time. Thanks again.

George & Mary Greenauer – Maritime Provinces
Caribou to Wood Island ferry
Along the Cabot TrailThank you so very much for your services, they certainly contributed to the wonderful time we had in Atlantic Canada. You can tell by our smiles in the attached photos. Know also that there were several occurrences over the duration of the trip when we compared such things as brochures, tourist ads, Map quest directions and the like and always came to the question "what does Nicole say about this?", whereupon we'd refer to the "Nicole Papers".

Hard to put a finger on what or where we enjoyed the most, so I won't try! Nicole, once again, we really appreciate all you provided for us, and please know you are at the top of our referral list regarding travel in the Maritime Provinces.

Mae Moroso – Nova Scotia & Prince Edward Island

Arrived safe - a little scary at first but everything went normally and in good time. The tour was great, although, as a single, I would have liked more planned functions ie tickets and transportation to events and not so much free time. As this was my first bus tour, I hope this does not sound too negative, I did enjoy it and loved the Nova Scotian and PEI people. The accommodations and meals were great, Thanks for everything!

Stan Starrett – Quebec, Nova Scotia & Prince Edward Island

Joyce Reingold – Nova Scotia

We had a fabulous time, thanks! Wanted to let you know that the Silver Dart Lodge was a big hit with the kids (I liked it too!) and Baddeck was a perfect launching pad for seeing the sights in Cape Breton. The Hilton Garden Inn worked out perfectly the last night, as well, and was very comfortable.

Funnily enough (ha, ha!!!) our whale watching trip from Brier Island was frightful. There were very nice people, nice concession, beautiful spot but horrible day -- rainy, windy and foggy. No whales and VERY high seas. The kids loved the roller coaster effect. We tried again the next day out of Digby, where we stayed and though it was a beautiful day (calm seas, sunny, no fog), the whales managed to elude us again. I think this is just our family whale karma.

HOWEVER, we did go on a trip out of Pleasant Bay in Cape Breton and saw a large pod of pilot whales and that was wonderful. The kids were elated, seeing their first whales in the wild. So while they were somewhat disappointed they didn't get to see any of the big whales, they were thrilled with the ones they saw -- plus all the eagles, seals, porpoises, lobster trap, etc.

They shared my love of Nova Scotia ... so green and beautiful, and the people, particularly in Cape Breton, so welcoming. Thanks again for your help!

Laila & Julien Turner - Nova Scotia/Newfoundland - Canada

We had a marvelous time and neither one of us wanted to come back. We definitely will go back and then we will find a place to retire. We will be looking around Portugal Cove in particular.

Instead of Woody Island we did a tour around the Baccalieu Peninsula and stayed overnight at Old Pelican at the north end of the peninsula.

We brought back 6 rolls of film and a CD of NL music. Our 2 favourite songs are "I'm from the Rock" and "I'm a Newfoundlander by Choice".

We saw 6 moose, 3 caribou, a pod of whales who came very close to the catamaran off Bulls Bay and lots of Puffins and other birds on Gull Island.

Julien was not keen on the B&Bs but after staying at Carriage House and the Bluenose he now has a different attitude towards B&Bs and would do it again. Both places were excellent and the hosts superb.

If we went again we would not do the 360 tour to the Coast of Bays. The coast was amazing but the route down 360 was very boring. There is talk of re-instating a ferry service for vehicles from the Coast of Bays to the Avalon Peninsula which would make the trip shorter and more interesting.

All went well: the weather was perfect, the scenery spectacular, cod is now my favourite fish, the people were wonderful and you did a great job planning our trip.

Thanks again for helping to make this a trip of a lifetime.

Elaine Clueit – Canada

I welcome the opportunity to give you some feedback on our trip.

First the positives – all the itinerary, accommodation etc was fine. Our favourite place was the Ocean B&B in Digby – and that was the cheapest. Really friendly and good layout and location. The most uncomfortable room was at The Blomidon – very pokey and a huge but uncomfortable bed. However we chose to have dinner there and that was lovely – the one chance to dress up a bit! We also loved Guest Lovitt in Yarmouth – I wanted to be Judy Garland in Meet me in St Louis! You really felt as though you were back to the turn of the last century!

The best thing about Nova Scotia was the people – everyone was incredibly friendly, polite and helpful – from the ladies in the diner in Halifax when we lost our way to the Customs Officer who stamped my receipts at the airport. Some of the nicest people I have ever met and they will be my lasting memory

Now for the not so goods. As you know the weather wasn’t kind to us – in fact at times in felt like the middle of winter – that I know cannot be helped. Also for future clients who express a real interest in whale watching I suggest they stay on Brier Island – it was a real jaunt going back and forth to Digby each day as much as we like the Ocean B&B.

We did enjoy our visit. All your arrangements were fine – thanks for your help. I do hope your summer picks up weather wise

Pam Regan - Nova Scotia

Yes all went well with the Globus trip. A bit more time at the cultural places and less at gift shops would have suited us better but it was obvious that the tour was geared to the American Market, however we enjoyed it but needed a rest in Halifax afterwards! Thanks, Pam Regan.

Ursula Von St. Ange - Atlantic Canada

Chuck Pines - Nova Scotia

We had a wonderful time in Nova Scotia. All of the hotels were fine. The only problem we had was the weather. The first week was simply gorgeous; the second week was mostly cloudy with some rain; but we were able to get around, take pictures, and enjoy ourselves.

Again thank you for all your efforts on our behalf. Send my regards and thanks to Avril, as well. It's been a pleasure,

Jim Childress Group - Nova Scotia

Everything went very well. The ladies followed your suggestions for things to do and see and had a great time. All the golf arrangements went as planned, and the weather was very nice while we were there--understand it was the first good week all summer. Unfortunately, it was foggy and misting the day we were at Highlands Links/Ingonish, but otherwise we had sunshine. <>Whalewatching was successful at Cheticamp, and the ladies wished we had planned more time in Mahone Bay/Lunenburg. It was very enjoyable, and we appreciate all your help. Thanks for everything

We're back and had a wonderful time. At first I thought that 10 days would be too much time but it was not enough! The area is incredibly beautiful and the people are so friendly. We definitely want to come back. Thank you for planning this vacation. We enjoyed all the hotels/inns along the way. You did a great job in picking the places. Also, the concert (Celtic Women) was fantastic. We also got to see Jennifer Roland at the Louisburg Playhouse (she's excellent)! Thanks again

We had a great time and were blessed with great weather. We drove around a lot and took several hikes. The scenery was super and everyone was very friendly. I highly recommend Anton's in Wolfville and Piper's Landing just outside Pictou. Pictou Lodge & Auberge Giselle were both very lovely. All in all, we had a fantastic time. Thanks for everything. Suffice to say we had a fantastic time.

The trip was great! We probably did a little too much driving. The Gowrie House was fantastic. The Fisherman's Daughter was just as great. We could have spent several more days. All and all, a good time was had. Thanks

Marsha & Gary Simpson - USA to Nova Scotia

We enjoyed our trip very much - thank you for arranging it for us. We went on two whale trips both with Mariner Cruises. Recommending Mariner Cruises would almost guarantee a great whale trip. There is also a hotel on Brier Island - Brier Island Lodge to stay at instead of driving back to Digby each night. Again thanks for doing the scheduling for us.

Harumi Fujita – Canadian Rockies

Thank you for your attention. We really had a wonderful time in Canadian Rockies. The tour was in general good organized in spite of the rain in the last day in Banff. Maybe it would be better if it included more hiking for younger people. Anyway the nature here is very beautiful and we enjoyed a lot. We also made some friends from different parts, mostly from US and UK.

Carole Roberts – Canadian Rockies

Just back from our Canada trip and it was fantastic. Thanks for recommending Collette to us. We did miss quite a few excursions because of the fact that there was too much snow to take certain roads - Lake Maligne for example and all excursions in Jasper were cancelled, but we still had a fantastic time. Thanks again for your help and advice.
